Nagano Prefecture are bountiful with apples, and Omachi is teeming over with blueberries. These two fruits are suitable to use in making jams. Kita Yamoto Orchard provides jam-making activities, and you can also experience blueberry-picking. Because frozen blueberries are used in making jams, no matter what season you come to Omachi, you can still experience jam-making. The amount of jam made each time is 1kg (fee: 5000yen), and everyone can make 5 jars of jams in one visit (weight: 190g). Besides apple and blueberry jams, Kita Yamoto Orchards also has apricot and rhubarb flavours available for sale. All of these are made with high quality ingredients and are good for the health.
