とれたての栗をむいて、栗おこわをつくりました。
栗はとってすぐに冷蔵庫のチルド室に２，３日いれておくと甘ーくなるそうです！
Autumn Blessings in Omachi
Omachi is filled with the rich harvests of autumn!
We peeled freshly picked chestnuts and made chestnut rice (kuri-okowa).
I learned that if you keep the chestnuts in the fridge for two or three days after picking, they become even sweeter!
林檎も食べごろです。へたのところがぎゅっと奥に引っ込んでいるのが甘いんだと教えてもらいました。
Apples are also at their best now.
My friend told me that the sweetest ones have the stem area deeply indented — a good tip to remember!
黒部ダム河床トレッキング。雨の中を出発しましたが、栗おこわおにぎりを食べ終わるころ雲の上から晴れ間がのぞきました。（来年ぜひご一緒しませんか？）
The Kurobe Dam Riverbed Trekking began in the rain,
but as I finished my chestnut rice balls,
the clouds slowly parted, revealing a clear autumn sky.

黒部川と山々の凛々しい姿は圧巻です！
The sight of the Kurobe River and the surrounding mountains was simply breathtaking!
りんどう、やまぶどう、大好きな地衣類は谷間が日陰がちなので少な目でした～(ﾉд-｡)ｸｽﾝ。でもかわいい！
Gentians, wild grapes, and some of my favorite lichens were also there —
though fewer than usual, as the valley stays quite shady. Still, they looked so lovely!
雨が途中から上がったおかげで、雨つゆがひかるきれいな姿をみることができました。
雄大なやまの姿。その岩をけずりとる水の威力を身近に感じました。
とちゅう、キツネかなにか中型のどうぶつの糞もみつけましたよ。
木のみをたくさん食べていました。
Thanks to the rain earlier, everything sparkled beautifully with raindrops.
We could really feel the power of the water carving through the rocks and shaping the valley.
On the way, we even found traces of a wild animal —
maybe a fox? Its droppings were full of berries and nuts, signs of autumn in the forest.
