Alps Roman-kan

Alps Roman-kan is located right next to JR Shinano Omachi Station, at the mouth of the Kurobe Dam. This souvenir shop is run directly by the Raicho no Sato confectioner, Tanakaya. Warm up with some hot tea and try tasting some products. Pop in while you are waiting for your train or bus.

Independently operated, Kurashina Mill has been stone-milling flour since its founding (1890). Its buckwheat flour is made with domestic buckwheat, including local crops, and the flavor, aroma, and ease with which it can be rolled out surpasses other flours.
