Soba Making

Pounding the buckwheat flour by yourself is not easy but the taste of the soba noodles afterwards is exceptional. Soba flour are locally grown in the high plains at the foot of the Japan Alps.

Handmade Japanese Paper Experience

Washi (Japanese paper) making in Omachi has a long history. The high quality paper is made using raw materials and water drawn from the river that flows through the city, having a warm and strong texture.

Aroma

Situated in a wide open park with over 800 different kinds of trees and colorful flowers. These colors enhance the healing and beauty of the themed garden facilities. In the handmade aroma experience workshop, you will select your own fragrance from the herbs and fruits and make your own unique natural perfume oil, which of course you can take home with you.

Please reserve at least one day in advance. If you want to create your own products in the handmade experience aroma workshop, then please make a reservation to suit.

Asanoyakata (House of Hemp) in Miasa

The place Miasa literally means “beautiful hemp”. The house displays photographs and documents on the culitavation and shipment of hemp. Soba noodles are also served. Reservations are required for the soba making expereince.
