“Using the clean water from the Northern Alps, the sake produced in Omachi is very delicious. One of the three big breweries in Omachi is Hokuan Brewery, which can be reached on foot from the Shinano Omachi Station. You can directly purchase sake from the brewery if you wish.
If you are interested in the process of making Japanese sake, you can make a reservation in advance to visit the brewery. (Reservations are available mainly on weekdays, and depend on the brewery’s schedule. Tours may be unavailable during certain periods.)”
